Worst bread ever!




If you are in Germany and want to try real good German bread, here's a hint: Don't ever go to Merzenich (bakery chain popular in Cologne and around)! They make the worst bread ever. They have a lot of bubbles in their dough which transforms into ugly big holes when the bread is baked. No chance to get marmalade or other spread on top. Also, the crust is always dark, burned, hard and tastes very bitter.

    Isst du etwa kein Prümtaler Mühlenbrot mehr?!
    Das haste davon :P

    Btw: Die Puddingteilchen von denen sind auch für die Tonne. Teig furz-trocken und Vanille-Pudding ist da definitiv nicht dazwischen.

    Eigentlich ist bei dennen alles für die Tonne. Das einzige was meiner Meinung nach niemand besser kann sind die Berliner ;) Ach so, mal schreibe ich in englisch, mal auf deutsch...

    Ich kauf das Prümtaler Mühlenbrot jeden Donnerstag in Köln-Gremberg auf dem Wochenmarkt oder auch mal bei Gelegenheit in Lünebach direkt von der Bäckerei.

    Try to use more butter, then the issue with the marmalade is solved ;-)
